Several of Salaks businesses are covered by the Transparency Act.
The purpose of the law is to promote businesses' respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. Furthermore, the law should ensure that the general public has access to information about how businesses work with this.
Salaks works with follow-up of business partners
Salaks actively works to ensure accountability in our value chain. Our survey of suppliers and business partners is based on the OECD model of due diligence assessments. This involves, among other things, a risk-based approach to assessing compliance with human rights and safeguarding decent working conditions with our suppliers and business partners.
In due diligence assessments, we prioritize based on an assessment of the risks (type and extent) of potential and actual negative consequences for human rights and decent working conditions. This is a comprehensive and ongoing process in which we make priority assessments to seek to identify, prevent/avoid and mitigate potential and actual negative impact. This applies both internally in our business, in our supply chains and with our business partners.
Public statement and information
Salaks will publish an account of our due diligence assessments each year in line with the requirements of the Transparency Act. You can read this statement here.
